New favourite fabric store

A little while ago, I googled nearby fabric stores. I came across one, Fabric Frenzy, which is a little too far away for me to just pop in. I was able to call in to their Nerang location today and I could not have been more impressed.

The store is no where near as big as a typical Spotlight, but it did not lack in choice. There were hundreds of bolts to choose from. A lot of knit fabrics in plain colours as well as bright coloured prints. There were many suiting fabric choices. I often find Spotlight and Lincraft to be lacking in suiting fabrics, but here, there were pinks, tweeds and embossed knitted suiting fabrics. Basic cotton prints were also available - the stripes, spots and ginghams that always make for cute dresses and skirts. There was a small selection of quilting fabrics too.

The prices were extremely reasonable as well. A lot of fabric was marked down to $3.95 or $5.95 a metre and various others were 50% off. There was also a storewide sale on all full-priced fabric - everything was 20% off. There were a few bolts priced at $20ish/metre but this was for the unusual suitings and taffetas.

The haberdashery section could rival any Spotlight or Lincraft. There were many laces and trims to choose as well as buttons. Again, the prices seemed extremely reasonable - a wide lace trim was about $7 a metre.

Patterns are available and the Simplicity and New Look patterns are currently 50% off. Given the price of these patterns usually, this is something that should not be missed.

They have two locations:

Nerang

Address: Unit 2 /24 Spencer Rd NERANG QLD AUSTRALIA

West Burleigh

Address: 11 Kortum Drive, WEST BURLEIGH, QLD AUSTRALIA

But there is also a small selection available through their online store.

I am quite impressed with my haul. I got 7 metres of various fabrics and a pattern for under $50.

The worst thing about this store is that it isn't closer.
